Simply Grilled Salmon
  • 1 lb wild salmon, skin on
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • cracked black pepper, to taste
  • dried oregano, to taste
  • dried basil, to taste
  1. Heat grill to high.
  2. Remove any pin bones from the salmon with a bone remover.
  3. Rinse salmon and pat dry with a paper towel.
  4. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil over salmon and gently rub.
  5. Season to taste.
  6. Place salmon face down on grill and cover, cooking for 3-5 minutes depending on thickness.
  7. When ready, salmon will have char marks and will be easier to lift off grates.
  8. Flip with metal tongs or spatula and cook for another 2-4 minutes on the skin side, until crispy.
